Hello Learn to Play Parents,
My name is Lee Pearce and I am the Learn to Play Coordinator for Moose Jaw Little League.
This is to give you some information before we get on the field next week.
The start time for Mon/Wed and Tues/Thurs is going to be 6:30 PM and here are the teams:
MJLL 2020 Teams (Updated July 7, 2020)
The field we are using is Montgomery, located at the Bell Park Baseball Diamonds - 800 Caribou Street East. Search: Bell Park Baseball Diamonds, Moose Jaw if using your phone to help you find it. The field is located as you drive down Caribou St., just down from the big baseball diamond Ross Wells. There will be a concession available beginning July 13th, 2020 at Bell Park.
We are required to follow the MJLL 2020 Season Guidelines which adheres to the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan which means that for contact tracing purposes, we are asking everyone who attends to sign in with the coach each evening. Hand Sanitizer will be available and we will work together to get the kids hands clean before and after the on field activities. Disinfectant will also be used on shared equipment like the balls and bats. More information can be found here http://www.mjlittleleague.com/content/covid-19
I will be coaching on Mon/Wed and we have three assistants for Tues/Thurs. If anyone can take the lead Tues/Thurs, it would be most appreciated. I am willing to guide them and make it pretty easy.
If any parents can assist me on Mon/Wed it will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to come on the field and help your child. Please see the attached sheets to see which team your ball player is on.
I have been advised by the company who is making our hats and shirts that they will be delayed a week in getting them to us. We will definitely have them to you as soon as possible.
Last, I want to thank everyone for coming out to the baseball diamond in these unprecedented times and for valuing baseball as a sport in your child's life. I would like to share a quote with you:
“You don’t need a ticket to see some of the best baseball in the world, you just need to drive one of the players to the game”
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Please email me at learntoplay@mjlittleleague.com
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the baseball diamond! All the best!
-Lee Pearce
