General League Information

League start - first week of May

League end - end of June

* Please note these dates are approximate as they are set by the City of Moose Jaw in April.

Days of the week: Tues/Thurs

Start time: 6:15 pm

Length: 1.5 - 2.5 hours

At the beginning of the year more time is spent on practice before game play.  As the days get longer and warmer the game play will extend.

Additional practices are at the coach(s) discretion.

Additional Games

• Fun Day
  • This is a one-day event with a small practice / game that occurs on a Saturday or Sunday. Afterwards, the teams will get their pictures taken along with concession and activities.
  • This occurs generally the second to third week in the season
• Mid-Season Tournament
  • This is a two-day event with games scheduled throughout the weekend.
  • This occurs generally the end of May to early June
• Playoffs
  • This is a multi-day event with games scheduled throughout the weekend. Depending on how the team progresses, the games can go beyond the weekend into the following week
  • This occurs at the end of the season which is generally the end of June

Equipment

All players must supply their own batting helmet, baseball glove, runners / baseball cleats, comfortable pants/ball pants and groin protection.

Moose Jaw Little League will supply jerseys, balls and bats.

It will be at the discretion of the coach(s)/parents to decide if they want to get ball hats to coordinate with the jerseys.

Once you are registered

In March, the league will conduct division evaluations. Players should bring indoor runners, cup protector, comfortable pants, batting helmet and glove.

Once evaluations are complete, there will be a draft night with the coaches to create the league teams.

You will be notified by your coach once the teams are made by email or phone sometime in April.
